Sexteto Sucupira was born at the end of 2014. Since the beginning of its existence, it has held weekly dances that stood out for its unusual nickname of Forró Jazz Cigano Tropical, where they have received and accompanied artists of the highest quality such as Kamazi Washington, Carlos Malta, Sílvia Perez Cruz, Júlia Vargas, Moyseis Marques, among others. The Sexteto has performed in the most important musical venues in Rio de Janeiro such as Circo Voador, Fundição Progresso, Estudantina Musical and Boulevard Olímpico da Praça XV (in the case of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics). In 2019, he released his first album Sexteto Sucupira, and, in 2021, he just released his second album Paisagens Latinas, on the Cantores del Mundo label.
