Rudá Brauns
Rudá Brauns, an artist from the Rio music scene, born in São Paulo, moved to Rio de Janeiro at the age of twenty. Composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist, she chose plucked strings as the main vehicle to express his music. His work is influenced by Brazilian instrumental music and its fusions with “world music”. He has three recorded albums. The first with the group Pedra Lispe (2011) and two others with Sexteto Sucupira: Sexteto Sucupira (2019) and Paisagens Latinas (2021). He composed soundtracks for several shows, including the play Histórias de Alexandre (whose music was nominated for the Zilka Salaberry Award 2012), and, more recently, the dance and theater performance Marítima, by Carolina Franco, and the play Bordados, by the company Amok Theatre. The album Paisagens Latinas, released by Cantores del Mundo, is available on streaming platforms.
