Mussa
Mussa is a singer, songwriter, and visual artist. Born in São Paulo in 1972, he moved to Rio before turning one. Graduating in Industrial Design from Faculdade da Cidade, he studied drums at the Musiarte school and took singing lessons with Ana Zinger, Wladimir Pinheiro, Jardel Maia, and Ilessi. He is also the co-director of the Lume singing school. Praised by specialized critics, Mussa recorded his first work, "Na Correnteza", in 2009 in partnership with singer Leandro Junnhyor. In 2014, he released the CD "Naif", followed by the latest album, "Mussa Samba Combo", by Sony Music in 2017. The "Mussa Samba Combo" show combined music with visual arts, featuring a painting by the artist for each song at an art exposition in a theater foyer. He was also praised by the singer Elza Soares, with whom he has shared the stage. In addition to Elza, Mussa has collaborated with various icons in Brazilian music, including Nelson Sargento, George Israel from Kid Abelha, Teresa Cristina, and many others. His latest release is the EP "Caruru Connection", from 2022.
