Lucas Bezerra
Singer and songwriter Lucas Bezerra was born and raised in the Sertão region of Ceará. A native of Crato, he grew up in a small town in the southern part of the state, Orós, the hometown of Raimundo Fagner. He lived for years in João Pessoa (PB), where he studied Social Work and began his journey into the music scene through lessons with guitarist Jaelson Farias. Today, he resides in Maceió, the capital of Alagoas. Lucas is part of the roster of artists signed with the record label Cantores del Mundo, based in Rio de Janeiro. His debut EP, "Transito" (2021), serves as a narrative that explores the movement between the Sertão and the coastline, engaging in a dialogue between the poetic and inherent musical elements. Produced by Arthus Fochi, "Transito" features a special collaboration with Juliana Linhares on the title track. The EP's live performance has already toured cities such as João Pessoa, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. Lucas has shared the stage with artists he considers masters, including the Pernambuco native Junio Barreto, Mona Gadêlha (from Pessoal do Ceará), and Totonho. Currently, he is in the preparation phase for recording two studio albums—one featuring his original repertoire and the other paying homage to the composer from Paraíba, Carlos Antonio Bezerra da Silva, known as Totonho.
