Andrés Deus
Andrés Deus is a singer, guitarist, composer and teacher born in Dolores, Soriano. The warmth and ductility of his voice led to him being summoned to participate in important murgas in the area as well as the Choir of the University of the Republic. He was a finalist in the Adriana La Palma Joven Tango Singing Contest in 2009 and won with the Trío Tangozao the 2nd Prize Group Category in the Latin American Singing Contest “Guitarra Negra”. In 2010 he recorded with the Ricacosa Quartet. In 2014 he independently released “ABRA”, his first author album. Recorded in 2016 with the support of FONAM, “Chingolo” is a totally Creole album that includes 10 songs with rhythms of tango, waltz, milonga (citizen and pampa), candombe, zamba and chacarera, among others. It is a Uruguay/Brazil production where more than 15 artists participated (including designers, sound engineers, musicians and producers).
